As the Qingming Festival approaches, in order to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs and carry forward the red heritage, on March 28 the Party General Branch of Luoyang Jinlu organized representatives of party members from all its branches to visit the Luoyang Martyrs’ Cemetery and conduct a themed Party Day activity entitled “Carrying Forward the Spirit of the Martyrs and Drawing Strength to Forge Ahead.”

At 9:00 a.m., the Martyrs’ Cemetery was lush with verdant pines and cypresses, exuding an air of solemnity and reverence. All Party member representatives stood in neat formation before the Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs. As the majestic national anthem resounded, the memorial ceremony officially commenced.

Party member representatives laid flower baskets in tribute to the revolutionary martyrs, and all attendees bowed in silent mourning, profoundly commemorating the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives for national independence, the liberation of the people, and the prosperity of the nation. Subsequently, party members circled the memorial monument one by one, paid their respects at the Wall of Martyrs’ Names, and presented fresh flowers, thereby expressing their boundless remembrance and profound respect for these illustrious heroes.

Visit the Exhibition Hall and Relive the Revolutionary Era

Following the memorial ceremony, Party members visited the Luoyang Exhibition Hall of the Deeds of Revolutionary Martyrs to learn and reflect. Within the hall, one precious historical photograph after another and one weathered revolutionary artifact after another vividly brought to life those tumultuous years of relentless warfare. As the docent passionately recounted the heroic deeds of their revolutionary forebears—whose blood-stained struggles knew no fear of sacrifice—Party members listened attentively, deeply appreciating the unwavering faith and noble character of these martyrs.

Revisiting the Oath, Strengthening Our Original Aspiration

“I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China, uphold the Party’s program, and abide by its constitution…” Before the bright red Party flag and in the presence of the names of 4,000 martyrs, all Party members raised their right fists and solemnly took the oath, reaffirming their commitment upon joining the Party. The resolute and powerful vows echoed throughout the memorial hall, expressing the firm determination of the Luoyang Jinlu Party members to carry forward the legacy of the martyrs and forever maintain their political integrity.

This Qingming-themed Party Day activity honoring heroic martyrs serves not only as a profound education in revolutionary tradition but also as a soul-stirring ideological cleansing. Participants unanimously expressed their commitment to carrying forward and promoting the spirit of these heroes and martyrs, transforming their reverence for revolutionary pioneers into a powerful driving force for work and entrepreneurship.
