【Summary Description 】 As China’s demand for road infrastructure maintenance continues to grow, urban road reconstruction, highway upkeep, and pavement cold recycling are placing increasingly stringent requirements on the efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness of milling operations. When dealing with high‑hardness asphalt mixtures and complex working conditions, operators often encounter challenges such as rapid tool wear and frequent component replacements.
As China’s demand for road infrastructure maintenance continues to grow, urban road reconstruction, highway upkeep, and pavement cold recycling are placing increasingly stringent demands on the efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness of milling operations. When dealing with high‑hardness asphalt mixtures and complex working conditions, operators often encounter challenges such as rapid tool wear and frequent component replacements.

The Luoyang Jinlu engineering tools R&D team has addressed the key challenges and pain points encountered in road construction by developing wear‑resistant alloy cutter heads. By optimizing the alloy composition and employing advanced vacuum sintering, they have achieved a balanced combination of hardness and toughness, significantly enhancing the alloy’s wear resistance, extending the service life of the cutting teeth, and reducing downtime for replacement. Additionally, the steel tooth bodies are deeply hardened, endowing them with exceptional impact and bend‑resistance, effectively preventing fracture and deformation under harsh operating conditions and safeguarding the tooth holders from premature wear.
Application Cases
In July 2026, product testing was conducted on the Suining–Chongqing Expressway expansion and reconstruction project in Suining, Sichuan. Compared with products of the same configuration, our company’s G7-2019 exhibits an 18% longer service life than Brand Z, while our G8-2220 offers approximately a 24% longer service life than Brand Z.
The road’s first layer is an asphalt surface course, and the second layer is an asphalt base course; both exhibit high hardness. Milling depth is 8–10 cm, with a dense aggregate structure featuring large particles and pebbles, resulting in significant cutter‑head wear. A XCMG XM2005K milling machine was used.

Remnant Comparison:
Jinlu milled and planed 974 meters, approximately 175 cubic meters.

Z-brand milling and paving: 825 meters, approximately 148 cubic meters.

Choose Jinlu, and you’ll enjoy: more user-friendly products, more efficient production, and world-class service!
